Vancouver Photo Workshops proudly presents a three day hands-on workshop,"Effective Workflow for Digital Photographers using Adobe Lightroom" with internationally renowned digital imaging specialist Andrew Rodney.

Set in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, this workshop is designed specifically for digital photographers or film photographers who use a digital post processing workflow.

Proper Workflow in the digital age can be a complicated subject. With all the different post processing software available today, how do you know which programs to use and when?

How do you navigate through the maze of options for your digital output?

Andrew Rodney is here to demystify this digital journey. Creating an effective workflow is extremely important for every photographer to ensure good quality images and time efficient post processing.

This 3 day workshop focuses on the best practices and use of Adobe Lightroom from Raw image capture to final output. The class will spend time shooting images on location, then concentrate on importing and organizing these images in Lightroom.

Emphasis on using Lightroom to produce the best possible data for hand-off to Photoshop for the necessary tasks provided in that application for final output to print.

Topics Include:

* What is Raw, why use it?
* The power of parametric editing and how it differs from pixel editing.
* Proper exposure for best Raw data.
* Color management in Lightroom: selecting the appropriate color spaces, exporting files for various output needs, setting preferences.
* Designing and organizing an image ingestion strategy based on your needs and workflow.
* Color correction using Photoshop versus rendering using Lightroom. When to move from one application to the other (and back).
* Backup strategies for dealing with catalogs used on location and back in the studio.
* Sharpening Workflow from capture to print.
